Popular Nigerian businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has declared that his top priority is now winning souls for Christ Jesus, amid criticism of his political affiliations.
The billionaire made the remark in a Facebook post on Sunday, following backlash over his appointment as South-East Coordinator for the APC-backed City Boy Movement, a group supporting President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
Social media users had condemned Obi Cubana for associating with the APC, citing concerns over the country’s economic challenges under the current administration.
Responding to the criticism, Obi Cubana emphasized the primacy of his faith. “The MOST important assignment now is winning souls for Christ,” he wrote. “Our week is way too blessed and full of fruitfulness, amen! Awesome time in God’s presence as always.”
Obi Cubana’s spiritual journey recently received attention when Pastor Jerry Eze, founder of Streams of Joy International, reportedly led him to Christ, marking a significant milestone in the businessman’s personal life.
The statement underscores Obi Cubana’s commitment to faith, signaling that his spiritual mission takes precedence over political involvement and public scrutiny.
