Enyimba’s interim head coach, Lawrence Ukaegbu, has assured fans that the Aba-based club will react positively and strongly following their recent defeat to Remo Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The People’s Elephant were beaten 2-1 by the reigning NPFL champions in Abeokuta on Sunday, extending their poor run of form to just one victory in their last five league matches.
Despite the setback, Ukaegbu has urged Enyimba supporters to remain calm and patient, stressing that the team is already working on making improvements ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
“The fans should be calm,” Ukaegbu said after the game in Abeokuta.
“We will come up — that’s how Enyimba reacts to such situations. There are still more games to come.”
Enyimba are currently placed 13th on the NPFL table with 20 points and will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Kwara United in Aba this weekend as they push for a stronger finish in the 2025 league season.
