The Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Gbenga Elegbeleye, has commended league players after they all returned a clean bill of health in random drug tests conducted by the National Anti-Doping Committee (NADC) of Nigeria.
Elegbeleye expressed satisfaction with the results, praising the players for adhering to the rules.
“I’m very satisfied with the outcome of the tests on our players carried out by the NADC and I want to commend our players for staying clean,” he said in response to the committee’s report.
The NADC confirmed that the drug-testing exercise, which began during the 2023–24 season, will continue with the support of the NPFL. The programme aligns with the World Anti-Doping Code.
