Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina will be out of action for around three months after picking up a hamstring injury on international duty with Nigeria.
The 27-year-old limped off in the 10th minute of the Super Eagles’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa on Tuesday and was replaced by Bright Osayi-Samuel.
According to reports, the versatile full-back is not expected to return until the end of the year, ruling him out of a crucial stretch of fixtures for Forest.
Aina’s absence is a significant setback for new manager Ange Postecoglou, who is aiming to make an instant impact at the club.
Forest will travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday without the Nigerian international.
