The Nigeria National League (NNL) has officially disqualified Sporting Supreme from the ongoing season following their failure to appear for two consecutive league fixtures.
The league management confirmed the expulsion via a formal statement on its official website, noting that the club neglected its obligations to honor scheduled matches against Jigawa Golden Stars and Ranchers Bees.
This repeated absence triggered the immediate enforcement of the league’s strict disciplinary codes regarding team participation and attendance.
The governing body ruled that Sporting Supreme breached fundamental NNL regulations, resulting in a severe ₦10 million fine alongside their immediate removal from the division. Furthermore, the league has annulled all results from previous matches involving the club, effectively striking their points and goal records from the current standings. The NNL also imposed a five-year ban on the club’s management, prohibiting them from participating in any sanctioned activities within the league during that period.
This development makes Sporting Supreme the second club to face expulsion this season, following the earlier disqualification of Dakkada FC. The NNL continues to emphasize that it will not tolerate conduct that undermines the integrity and scheduling of the national competition as the remaining teams battle for promotion.
