The Nationwide League One (NLO) management has released the official regulatory framework for player enrollment as preparations intensify for the 2026 football calendar. League authorities have instructed all participating organizations to fulfill a mandatory registration payment of ₦600,000 (six hundred thousand Naira) to secure administrative access to the central NLO digital database.
These established protocols apply specifically to teams competing within the NLO Division One and the specialized U-19 Youth League category.
To maintain strict age compliance within the youth circuit, the league board requires all developmental clubs to provide the primary school leaving certificates of their registered athletes.
The NLO Secretariat confirmed on Tuesday that Division One entities must finalize all documentation and financial obligations by the formal deadline of Friday, February 27, 2026. This administrative drive aims to facilitate a transparent transition into the new competitive year and ensure all logistical requirements meet the league’s updated standards.
The NLO leadership finalized these decisions during a recent executive session, emphasizing the necessity of early preparation to avoid fixture delays. Beyond database access, the comprehensive registration fee covers player insurance, medical assessments, and official match licensing for the duration of the campaign.
Following the successful completion of the registration phase, the 2026 Nationwide League One season will officially commence with its opening matches on Friday, April 10, 2026.
