Nollywood actress and producer Nkechi Blessing has criticized individuals who use their influence to block or frustrate the progress of others.
In a video shared on Instagram on Wednesday, the actress condemned such behavior, noting that many people are already struggling with depression, illness, and untimely death. She questioned why anyone would deliberately work to destroy another person’s opportunities.
“There you are, putting calls to terminate people’s contracts, badmouthing others, taking food from people’s mouths… all this influence and power you think you have, it only takes one sleep you’ll never wake from, and everything is gone. So to what end?” she said.
Blessing emphasized that life is fleeting and that kindness should be a priority.
“The least we can do now is to be kind to one another. It doesn’t take anything from you to genuinely support others without being in competition,” she added.
She also shared her personal encounters with people who tried to undermine her career, insisting that despite their efforts, she never lacked.
“Over the years I have had my own fair share of these people that I talked about. But to the glory of God, I never came out to beg for food. Because God, where they run am, never tire. And why I say, thank God, say man no be God,” she stated.
Blessing concluded by urging forgiveness and stressing that no one leaves the world alive, making kindness and compassion all the more important.
