Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has expressed frustration over what she described as an uncontrollable influx of unsolicited messages and marriage proposals from men on Facebook.
In a video shared on Instagram, the actress revealed that she wakes up daily to thousands of messages from men across different age groups and locations, many of whom introduce themselves, ask if she is truly single, and declare intentions to marry her.
Nkechi said the situation has become exhausting, adding that her WhatsApp inbox is equally affected, with more than 5,000 unread messages from admirers.
According to her, repeated attempts to remove or change her phone number on Facebook have been unsuccessful. She also noted that blocking or archiving chats no longer helps due to the sheer volume of incoming messages.
The actress clarified that while she is single and a mother of one, she is not actively searching for a husband and has no interest in romantic relationships at the moment.
“Please, I need help on how to remove my phone number from Facebook,” she said. “I have over 5,000 men in my DM saying they want to marry me. I don’t even know which video trended. I am single, but I am not searching. Please stop texting my number.”
Her comments have sparked conversations online about boundaries, privacy, and the pressure female celebrities face on social media platforms.
Nkechi Blessing, known for her outspoken personality, has previously addressed issues ranging from online harassment to the challenges of fame in the digital age.
