Nissi, sister to Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy, has dismissed online claims that their mother, Bose Ogulu, has been fired as the artiste’s manager.
The rumour began circulating after ChaftsAfrica posted what it claimed was an Instagram Story from Burna Boy announcing his mother’s removal. The speculation gained further traction when an X user, @Joyfultips, wrote: “Just heard Burna Boy fired his mom, this whole thing is getting crazier.”
Reacting to the post, Nissi quoted the user and shut down the claims, calling the report “FAKE NEWS.”
Her response appears to be the first family reaction to the rumour.
The claim surfaced at a time when Burna Boy has faced conversations online about ticket sales. It was earlier reported that the singer’s ‘No Sign of Weakness’ U.S. tour was cancelled over alleged low ticket sales, a development that has continued to spark discussions across social media.
