Afrobeats stars Niniola and Fave are set to headline the Mainland BlockParty taking place today, Friday, March 27, 2026, at Secret Garden in Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
The event coincides with the launch of ‘Her Future Festival,’ a newly introduced annual initiative aimed at celebrating and amplifying women’s contributions to music and nightlife during Women’s Month.
Organisers have unveiled a strong female-driven lineup for the inaugural edition. Performers include M.I.A, Smur Lee, Fimà with the Flow, Wanni x Handi, and Goodgirl LA—artists who continue to shape the evolving sound of Nigeria’s music scene.
In a significant shift from previous editions, this year’s event will feature an entirely female lineup. Women will not only dominate the stage but also play leading roles across DJ sets, vendor operations, and production teams.
The organisers say the move reflects a broader effort to highlight women’s growing influence behind the scenes in the nightlife industry while creating more opportunities for participation and visibility.
Rebecca Adeyanju, Head of Products at The Plug Global, noted that the initiative aligns with the reality of women’s contributions to the sector.
According to her, women are already key drivers of nightlife culture and business, and the festival is designed to match that impact with equal access to platforms, infrastructure, and opportunities.
With its all-female showcase, ‘Her Future Festival’ positions itself as a platform not just for performance, but for empowerment—marking a notable moment in Lagos’ entertainment calendar.
