Flying Eagles midfielder Daniel Daga says Nigeria are fully focused on their decisive group clash with Colombia at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Aliyu Zubairu’s side edged Saudi Arabia 3-2 in a dramatic contest on Friday, with captain Daniel Bameyi converting a stoppage-time penalty to clinch all three points.
The result lifted Nigeria to third in Group F with three points from two games, leaving them needing victory in their final fixture to be certain of a place in the knockout stage.
Daga, who plays for Molde in Norway, insisted the squad are determined to rise to the occasion.
“The next [game] is to play Colombia in the last group game, we [are] hoping to get a victory again so we can go to the next stage,” he told FIFA.com.
The seven-time African champions last reached the U20 World Cup knockout rounds in 2019.
