Super Falcons shot-stopper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been ranked the fourth best goalkeeper in the world in the latest Ballon d’Or Women’s Yashin Trophy standings.
The award, presented in Paris on Monday, went to Chelsea and England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton. Gotham FC’s Ann-Katrin Berger finished second, while Barcelona’s Cata Coll and Arsenal’s Daphne van Domselaar claimed third and fifth places, respectively.
Nnadozie, who currently plays for Brighton & Hove Albion, has enjoyed a stellar run for both club and country. She was instrumental in Nigeria’s triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, and also had an exceptional spell with Paris FC, where she won the 2024 UNFP Goalkeeper of the Season award and lifted the Coupe de France Féminine.
Her recognition marks another historic milestone, as she continues to establish herself as one of the world’s elite goalkeepers.
