The Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) Africa, which serves as the continental umbrella body for Nigerians residing across Africa, has announced its preparations for a significant Products Sales and Exhibition set to take place in Dakar, Senegal, from February 23rd to 27th, 2026.
This exciting announcement was made by NIDO Africa’s Chairman, Professor Jude Osakwe. He expressed that the event aims to unlock new market opportunities for Nigerian goods and services across the continent.
The five-day exhibition will provide a vital platform for promoting high-quality Nigerian products beyond national borders, fulfilling NIDO’s commitment to contributing to national development.
In his remarks, Professor Osakwe emphasized the exhibition’s key objective: providing local manufacturers, particularly in the Agro-Allied, Fashion, and Beauty sectors, with the opportunity to showcase their offerings, forge partnerships, and connect with marketers and buyers from across Africa.
“This project is a direct realization of one of the fundamental objectives for which NIDO was established,” stated Professor Osakwe. “We are committed to doing everything within our power to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria to open up viable market channels for their products across Africa, leveraging the opportunities presented by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).”
The Dakar exhibition is expected to attract a diverse audience, including international investors, regional distributors, trade delegates, and high-level government officials, turning the Senegalese capital into a temporary hub for Nigerian enterprise.
Professor Osakwe also took the opportunity to commend the unwavering support provided by the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to the Chairman of NiDCOM, Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, for her exceptional support and encouragement throughout the initial phases of preparation,” Professor Osakwe added. “Her dedication has been instrumental in laying a solid foundation for this significant continental project.”
NIDO Africa calls on all interested Nigerian manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders in the targeted industries to begin preparations and look forward to detailed registration and participation information, which will be released shortly.
The Dakar 2026 Exhibition marks a decisive step by the Nigerian Diaspora community in Africa to actively promote economic integration and boost the visibility and competitiveness of Nigerian products on the global stage.
NIDO Africa says it invites all interested Nigerian manufacturers, producers, and businesses across all sectors (Manufacturing, Agro-Allied, Fashion, and Beauty, food and many more) seeking to expand their market reach into West Africa and beyond, to participate in this landmark event.
