
Niger Tornadoes players have received a ₦1 million cash reward for their emphatic 4–0 victory over Plateau United in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday nine fixture.
The Ikon Allah Boys dominated the encounter at the Bako Kontagora Stadium on Sunday, with Abdulazeez Dalhatu netting a brilliant hat-trick, while Shehu Dabai sealed the win with the fourth goal.
Following the match, the Chairman of the Niger State Sports Commission, Danjuma Abdul Masu, presented the players with the monetary reward.
Dalhatu and Dabai also received individual awards and ₦200,000 each for their outstanding performances.
The victory marks Niger Tornadoes’ fourth win of the 2025/26 NPFL season, extending their unbeaten run to three games. The Minna-based club now sit fourth on the NPFL table with 14 points from nine matches.
