The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has issued emergency contact numbers for Nigerians residing in or travelling across parts of the Middle East, as tensions continue to rise in the region.
In a statement shared via its official social media platform, the commission advised Nigerians to keep the hotline numbers handy and to reach out to the nearest Nigerian diplomatic mission in the event of an emergency.

NiDCOM said the designated lines are meant to provide urgent consular support, including assistance to citizens who may be affected by the evolving security situation.
The commission urged Nigerians in the affected countries to remain alert, comply with local safety directives, and maintain regular communication with Nigerian embassies and consulates for timely updates.
It reiterated that the hotlines are available to ensure quick response to distress calls and to coordinate support where necessary.
Authorities encouraged all Nigerians in the region to prioritise their safety and seek official guidance through recognised diplomatic channels as the situation develops.
