The United States Department of Justice has released a new batch of FBI documents related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including interview records that contain allegations made against Donald Trump.
According to the Justice Department, the documents were previously withheld from public release because they were mistakenly labelled as “duplicative” during earlier congressionally mandated disclosures.
The latest release has drawn renewed political attention as Democratic lawmakers continue to investigate the handling of Epstein-related files during the previous administration.
The newly published materials include summaries of several 2019 FBI interviews with a woman who alleged that she was sexually assaulted by both Epstein and Trump when she was between the ages of 13 and 15.
During one of the interviews, the woman claimed that Epstein transported her to either New York or New Jersey, where he allegedly introduced her to Trump. She further alleged that she bit Trump while he allegedly attempted to force her into performing oral sex.
The woman also told investigators that she and individuals close to her received threatening phone calls over the years, which she believed were intended to silence her regarding the Epstein-related incidents.
Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing linked to the allegations. The United States Department of Justice had previously stated that some of the released documents contained what it described as “untrue and sensationalist claims” against the former president.
Meanwhile, Democratic lawmakers have accused the Trump administration of obstructing aspects of the Epstein investigation that could have revealed information potentially damaging to Trump’s political standing.
In a related development, a House committee on Wednesday voted to subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi to provide testimony regarding the Justice Department’s management of the Epstein-related documents.
