The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has officially extended the deadline for applications for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This decision, announced by Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, the Director of Strategic Communications at NELFUND, comes in response to requests from specific educational institutions advocating on behalf of their student applicants.
NELFUND’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Akintunde Sawyerr, emphasized the agency’s dedication to providing eligible students at participating institutions with the opportunity to access this vital student loan program.
In light of this extension, NELFUND encourages all eligible students at the relevant institutions to take advantage of the additional time and to complete their applications through the official NELFUND portal.
