Delta North Senator Ned Nwoko has declared that he will not reunite with his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, amid their ongoing marital crisis.
In a statement shared on Instagram on Tuesday, the lawmaker denied having any recent communication with her and maintained that his only concern is for her to receive professional help. He included screenshots of what he described as their last WhatsApp exchange, dated October 17, to support his claim.
Nwoko alleged that Regina’s behaviour in recent months has been influenced by the use of hard drugs, which he said triggered “violent and irrational incidents.” According to him, the released chat was intended to show the ultimatum he gave regarding rehabilitation.
“Senator Ned Nwoko is not chatting with Regina and does not want her back in the house. All he is insisting on is that she should be encouraged to go to therapy,” the statement read.
He also dismissed Regina’s accusations involving drugs and sexual misconduct, describing them as fabrications that “can never be substantiated.”
Neither Regina Daniels nor her representatives have publicly responded to the senator’s latest statement.
