Popular gospel artiste and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, has issued a strong warning to married men involved in extramarital relationships and to young women who knowingly engage in such affairs.
Bassey delivered the message in a video that has since gone viral on social media, where he addressed a congregation on the moral and spiritual consequences of infidelity.
Speaking directly to married men, the pastor cautioned against deceiving young women and engaging in sexual relationships outside marriage, warning that such actions could attract divine judgment and public shame.
“You are a married man, and you go about deceiving young girls, leading them on. Some even go as far as sleeping with them,” Bassey said during the sermon.
He warned that such conduct could be exposed publicly, including on social media platforms, adding that disgrace would follow those involved.
“Your shame will not be forgotten; it will be on social media,” he said, cautioning that deceitful relationships could end in severe consequences.
The gospel singer also addressed young women who pursue relationships with married men, attributing such behaviour to greed and the pursuit of material benefits.
According to him, knowingly engaging with a married man for financial gain or luxury items would also attract serious repercussions.
“If you know in your heart that the man is married, but because of greed or material things you go ahead, there will be consequences,” Bassey warned.
The message has sparked widespread reactions online, with supporters praising the pastor for addressing sensitive issues around marriage and morality, while others debated the tone of his remarks.
Bassey, known for his music ministry and the popular Hallelujah Challenge, has repeatedly used his platform to speak on social values, faith, and personal conduct.
