Popular Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has shared insights into her views on marriage, revealing that character, particularly kindness, ranks far above material possessions in her choice of a life partner.
Speaking during a candid conversation with media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the actress stated that genuine kindness is a non-negotiable trait for her, stressing that it forms the foundation of any meaningful relationship.
Isime explained that she would rather marry a kind man regardless of his social or financial status, noting that other shortcomings can be addressed over time. According to her, kindness reflects a person’s true nature and cannot be faked for long.
The movie star also disclosed that she feels ready for marriage, pointing out that she is now 34 years old and at a stage where she is intentional about her choices.
While acknowledging that she is admired by many, Isime said attraction alone is not enough reason to commit to a lifelong partnership. She emphasised the importance of carefully choosing what and who she settles for.
She added that genuine kindness goes beyond surface-level gestures, describing it as a consistent trait that shows in how a person treats others daily.
Isime’s remarks have sparked conversations online, with many fans applauding her emphasis on character and emotional values over material considerations in relationships.
