Actor and filmmaker Muyiwa Ademola has expressed grief over the passing of his cousin, Allwell Ademola, revealing that he was unable to attend the burial in Lagos.
In a heartfelt social media post, Ademola explained that he was abroad at the time of the ceremony, which took place on January 9 at a Yaba cemetery, drawing several prominent figures from the Yoruba film industry.
“It’s a final goodbye, Couz. The hardest part is not being in the country to witness your final journey home. Your passing is another painful reminder that tomorrow is never guaranteed. Each day we live brings us closer to our final day, and each birthday takes us nearer to the last. May we live long, amen. Sun re o Omo Oba EniObanke Ademola, bami ki baba mi Awofe Ademola, ki Uncle Adetokunbo Ademola… o digba o! O di gbere!” he wrote.
Following his post, social media users and fans extended condolences to the Ademola family, celebrating Allwell Ademola’s life and contributions to Nollywood.
