Nigerian rapper Erhiga Agarivbie, better known as Erigga, has reaffirmed his dedication to music, insisting that his art goes far beyond financial gain.
In a recent interview with Hip TV, the Warri-born artist said he has no plans to leave the music scene, even as many of his peers step away from the industry for personal or financial reasons.
“Every year, people leave music for real-life issues. But I can’t stop. Music is life. It’s what keeps me going,” Erigga shared. “Take the business and everything out of it, it’s more of a passion. I can’t disappoint my fans.”
Erigga, known for his raw storytelling and street-inspired lyrics, emphasized that his drive is rooted in passion rather than profit or social recognition.
The rapper’s statement comes amid growing conversations about burnout and financial pressures in Nigeria’s entertainment industry. Yet, for Erigga, music remains more than a career, it’s a calling.
His words have resonated with fans who admire his authenticity and consistency, solidifying his place as one of the most resilient voices in Nigerian hip-hop.
