
Morocco, in the early hours of Monday, defeated Argentina to clinch the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup title in Chile.
Yassir Zabiri opened the scoring for the North Africans in the 12th minute before the 20-year-old Famalicão winger doubled the lead a few minutes later in the first half.
Despite Argentina’s efforts to stage a comeback, no goal was recorded in the second half as Morocco held firm to secure a 2-0 victory at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos.
Morocco had earlier booked their place in the final after beating France in the semi-final, while Argentina advanced by overcoming Colombia.
In the third-place match, Colombia defeated France 1-0 to claim the bronze medal.
