Nollywood actor Mofe Duncan has announced the passing of his father, Josbert Thomas Kofi Duncan, who died on March 10, 2026.
The actor shared the news in a heartfelt post on Instagram, where he paid tribute to his late father while reflecting on the impact he had on his life.
In the emotional message, Duncan described his father as his “Champion” and affectionately referred to him as his “sweet old pops.”
Despite the pain of the loss, the actor said he finds comfort in his faith and in the belief that his father is now watching over him.
“And then my Daddy slept. My sweet old pops has gone to be with the Lord,” he wrote.
“My Champion has transcended. THANK YOU, DADDY… TRULY. I will celebrate you. My heart is broken, but my heart smiles cause now I have another angel watching over me, and that angel was once my Daddy.”
The post has drawn condolences from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, many of whom shared supportive messages with the actor during this difficult time.
