Media entrepreneur and filmmaker Mo Abudu has revealed additional cast members for the upcoming film adaptation of The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives, based on the novel by Lola Shoneyin.
The newly announced actors include Faithia Balogun Williams, Damilola Adegbite, Nancy Isime, Uzor Arukwe, Mike Ezuronye, Blessing Jessica Obasi, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Maleek of Ikorodu Bois, and Mallu Marik.
They join an already high-profile main cast led by Odunlade Adekola in the titular role of Baba Segi. Other prominent names in the film include Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, Bimbo Ademoye, Omowunmi Dada, Shaffy Bello, and Bisola Aiyeola.
Directed by Daniel Oriahi, the film explores the intricate dynamics of a polygamous family, focusing on hidden truths, emotional tensions, and complex relationships within the household.
The project is a collaboration between EbonyLife Group, Genesis Group, Nile Media Entertainment Group, and Silverbird Group.
The production also marks EbonyLife’s return to theatrical filmmaking after a five-year break, signaling renewed investment in big-screen storytelling.
The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives is scheduled for a global cinema release in December 2026, with expectations already building around its ensemble cast and compelling storyline.
