Students transitioning to Grade 10 who are dissatisfied with the outcome of their school transfer applications will have an opportunity to make changes between January 6 and 9, 2026.
According to the Ministry of Education, 88 per cent of applicants have already secured placements in their preferred schools or successfully processed transfer requests. However, 143,821 applications were rejected due to limited space in the selected schools and failure by some students to meet the recommended combination of elective subjects.
Despite the ministry’s assurances, uncertainty persists among students and parents. Some have expressed frustration with the process and are urging the government to reconsider their applications.
