West Ham United is reportedly preparing to launch a formal bid in January for highly-rated Nigerian midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi, who currently plays for SV Zulte Waregem in Belgium.
According to reports from TEAMtalk, the Hammers face stiff competition from four other Premier League clubs vying for Nnadi’s signature.
Nnadi, who transferred to Waregem from Bulgarian club Botev Plovdiv in January 2024, has swiftly established himself as a central figure in the Belgian team’s midfield. The Nigerian star has successfully started every league match he was available for this season, leading to him being described by scouts as “relentless” and “explosive in recovery.”
Reports in Belgium indicate that the London club is preparing a transfer offer in the region of €4 million for the former Flying Eagles player, a figure reportedly five times his current market value.
The Premier League interest is intense, with Brighton & Hove Albion, Leeds United, Newcastle United, and Crystal Palace also closely monitoring the 22-year-old defensive midfielder’s availability.
