In an advisory issued by the U.S. Department of State, Americans were warned that the evolving situation involving Iran could affect travel and personal safety.
The statement noted that travellers may face disruptions due to periodic airspace closures and encouraged citizens to exercise increased caution while abroad.
Officials advised U.S. nationals to enrol in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive real-time updates and security alerts. They were also directed to follow official communication channels for further guidance.
