Mexico cruised past host nation Chile with a convincing 4–1 victory in the early hours of Wednesday, while Spain edged Ukraine 1–0 on Tuesday to become the first team to reach the last eight.
More Round of 16 fixtures are scheduled for later today, with Nigeria set to face Argentina and South Africa taking on Colombia.
The tournament, which kicked off last month, is expected to conclude later this month in Chile.
