Real Madrid continued their flawless start to the La Liga season with a 4-1 victory over Levante on Tuesday, extending their lead at the top of the table.
Kylian Mbappe struck twice to take his tally to seven league goals in six matches, while Vinicius Junior and Franco Mastantuono were also on target for Xabi Alonso’s side.
Vinicius opened the scoring in the 28th minute, curling a superb effort past goalkeeper Mathew Ryan, before setting up Mastantuono for Madrid’s second. Levante briefly threatened when Karl Etta Eyong headed in his fourth goal of the season, but Mbappe restored the cushion with a cheeky penalty and later rounded Ryan for his second of the night.
The win keeps Los Blancos five points clear of second-placed Barcelona, who visit Real Oviedo on Thursday.
