The ongoing fallout between May Yul-Edochie, estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, and her former lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, has taken a public turn, with both sides trading fresh accusations.
On Friday, Ugwuonye published screenshots of private conversations he allegedly had with May, claiming he supported and guided her through aspects of her divorce proceedings. He alleged that despite his efforts, May betrayed his trust.
The lawyer went further to accuse her of dishonesty, branding her “fake” and “a liar.” He also warned that he could release additional information that might harm her reputation.
In one of his posts, Ugwuonye claimed he gave May “first-class treatment” during court appearances by providing updates on the Cause List and helping her avoid delays in court.
The development comes shortly after May, through her legal representatives Graylaw Partners, issued a cease-and-desist notice against Ugwuonye. In the letter, she accused him of cyberbullying, defamation, and cyberstalking, citing his repeated online posts targeting her.
The dispute has quickly become a trending topic online, drawing reactions from fans and observers who continue to follow the high-profile divorce case.
