Jubilee Deputy Party Leader Fred Matiang’i has launched a scathing attack on President William Ruto, accusing Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga and National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed of acting as political proxies for the Head of State in their recent sustained criticism of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Matiang’i claims the onslaught against the retired president is a calculated attempt to divert public attention from what he describes as the catastrophic failures of the current administration.
The former Interior Cabinet Secretary further argues that President Ruto and his allies are unsettled by Uhuru’s enduring popularity and legacy, which he says continues to outshine the record of the government currently in power.
