Nollywood actress and producer Mary Njoku has voiced her support for fellow actress Regina Daniels as she navigates a public marital crisis.
In an emotional Instagram post, Njoku revealed that watching Regina’s recent video left her in tears. She reflected on witnessing Regina grow up in the public eye and expressed heartbreak over seeing her cry out for help online.
“Dear Regina, watching your video this morning brought tears to my eyes. I practically watched you grow. In fact, all of Nigeria did. From a child into the woman you are today. Seeing that woman cry out for help on social media truly breaks my heart,” Njoku wrote.
As a mother of two daughters, Njoku said she could not imagine her own children going through similar struggles. She prayed that God would raise people to advocate for women in need, emphasizing the importance of protection and support for those facing hardship.
Njoku also called on Nigerian women to stand in solidarity, highlighting that ending a marriage does not diminish a woman’s role as a mother.
“When a marriage ends, real men understand that even if she stops being your wife, she never stops being the mother of your children,” she stressed.
She concluded her message with prayers for Regina’s strength, urging women not to suffer silently in the face of marital difficulties.
“My thoughts and prayers are with you, @regina.daniels, as you go through these trying times. No woman should ever have to suffer just because she chooses not to remain in a marriage. Stay strong,” Njoku added.
