Manchester United would be required to pay £12 million in compensation to manager Rúben Amorim if they decide to part ways with him.
The 40-year-old Portuguese tactician, who joined the Red Devils in November 2024 on a deal running until 2027, is under mounting pressure after just 10 months in charge.
Despite the board’s public backing, Amorim’s position is becoming increasingly uncertain following United’s worst start to a season in 33 years. The team has collected only four points from their opening four league matches.
While the club remains hopeful that results will improve, any decision to sack Amorim would come at a significant financial cost.
