Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Nathan Nandala Mafabi has pledged to channel part of Uganda’s oil revenue into infrastructure development and job creation in the Bunyoro sub-region if elected president.
Addressing journalists at Kolping Hotel in Hoima City, Mafabi said his administration would invest heavily in productive sectors such as tourism, transport, and agriculture to stimulate growth and tackle unemployment.
He also vowed to restore grabbed land to rightful owners and compensate individuals whose land was taken for public projects without proper payment.
The FDC flag bearer expressed confidence that his party would perform better in the upcoming elections, contrasting the current environment with what he described as the “military operation” that characterized the previous polls.
FDC president Patrick Amuriat Oboi, who accompanied Mafabi, accused security operatives of blocking party rallies in some parts of the country, particularly in Kagadi district, saying the actions were intended to deny Ugandans access to their preferred candidate.
