Lobi Stars technical adviser, Bala Abubakar, has described his team as a work in progress as preparations intensify for the upcoming Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The Pride of Makurdi are currently featuring in a pre-season tournament in Ogun State, where Abubakar says the players are showing steady improvement.
“I’m very happy with the improvement of my boys. I still believe that the work is in progress — we are moving closer to our best,” Abubakar told the club’s media.
He added that the ongoing tournament will help him fine-tune the squad and align the players with the club’s objectives ahead of the new campaign.
The 2025 NNL season is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, November 8.
