Nigerian actress Lizzy Anjorin has addressed circulating rumors claiming she was arrested over a defamation case involving fellow Nollywood stars.
Reports had suggested that the actress was detained following an alleged petition by Toyin Abraham, Iyabo Ojo, and Dayo Amusa. The story gained traction after influencer Esabod, known to be close to Iyabo Ojo, posted on Instagram that Lizzy had been remanded at Alagbon Police Station in Lagos and that her bail conditions would be reviewed on Monday.
The post read:
“Lizzy Anjorin has been arrested by ??? has been remanded in Alagbon police station in Lagos. Lizzy bail condition will be reviewed from Monday For defamation of character.”
Responding to the viral claims, Lizzy took to Instagram on Sunday evening to dismiss the reports. She wrote:
“Believe Esabod and Iyabo Ojo at your own risk.”
