Nollywood actress and businesswoman Lizzy Anjorin has announced the completion of her second doctoral degree, this time in Business Administration, marking another significant milestone in her academic and professional journey.
She shared the news in an emotional social media post, expressing gratitude and reflecting on the obstacles she has overcome. Now formally recognised as Dr. (Chief) Mrs. Ololajulo Elizabeth Anjorin-Lawal, the actress said the honour represents years of resilience, persistence and faith.
“Tonight, the gown speaks louder than every hater’s mouth combined,” she wrote, celebrating the new degree. She described her journey from Lagos’ tough beginnings to academic recognition as a testament to determination.
Anjorin noted that critics once doubted her potential, but she pushed through regardless. “They said I couldn’t. I said, ‘Watch me.’ Now they’re watching,” she added, insisting she be addressed with her full academic title.
In her message, she recounted sleeping under bridges in her early years, contrasting it with the pride of walking across a stage to receive her doctorate. She described the accomplishment as the result of “grace, grind and God,” encouraging her followers to stay committed to their goals.
Addressing her fan base, whom she calls “Lizzy Warriors,” Anjorin urged them to believe that their own stories can change, no matter how they began.
The announcement has since drawn celebratory comments from supporters and well-wishers across social media.
