Liverpool have dismissed suggestions that manager Arne Slot could be sacked following the club’s sixth defeat in seven games, which saw them crash out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
The Reds’ struggles have deepened in recent weeks, with four straight Premier League losses dropping them to seventh place — seven points behind leaders Arsenal.
Liverpool’s woes continued as they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield, despite Slot making ten changes from the side that lost to Brentford last weekend.
The poor run has fuelled speculation about Slot’s future, but BBC Sport reports that there is “not a chance” the club will review his position, insisting the 47-year-old Dutchman still has plenty of credit in the bank after leading Liverpool to the Premier League title in his debut season.
