Reality TV star and dancer Liquorose has opened up about her long-running passion for music, revealing that she actively pursued a music career before joining Big Brother Naija.
In a recent conversation with media personality VJ Adams, Liquorose shared that she spent a significant amount of time in the studio before her breakout on the reality show.
“I love music too much. I’ve always wanted to be a musician,” she said. “There was a time I was always recording before I went for BBNaija. I was very hungry with music.”
Although she has become increasingly comfortable with acting, the performer admitted that her desire to make music remains strong.
Liquorose, who also identifies as a poet, said her writing ability shapes her musical approach. “If the music isn’t sounding like that, I know I could do better. And I work with writers now,” she explained.
She noted that acting feels like a stable, lifelong path, but music still holds a part of her identity that fans have yet to experience.
“Acting is my safest place right now. I can act till I’m 70 or 80,” she said. “But you see music, there’s a side of me people haven’t seen. The sound won’t just be for dancing, it’s going to touch you. I can do dancehall, I can rap if I want to. I can’t sing like Beyoncé, but I can hold my own.”
Liquorose’s comments hint at a potential return to music, adding to anticipation around her next creative move.
