ODM leaders allied to the “Linda Mwananchi” wing have escalated the party’s internal duel, announcing a parallel convention on Friday, March 27, the very day their rivals in the “Linda Ground” camp will be holding a Special Delegates Convention at Kasarani.
Led by Siaya Governor James Orengo and ODM Deputy Party Leader Godfrey Osotsi, the group says its gathering, branded the “People’s Delegates’ Convention”, is a citizen-driven forum meant to “rescue” the soul and legacy of the party. They also cautioned EALA MP Winnie Odinga, urging her not to lend legitimacy to what they describe as a violation of the party constitution by attending the Kasarani meeting.
