Media personality Leo DaSilva has opened up about surviving two separate poisoning incidents, describing them as deeply unsettling experiences from different stages of his life.
In a post shared on X, DaSilva disclosed that the first incident occurred when he was just seven years old. According to him, the food involved was egusi soup, which later caused severe stomach pain while he was eating. He alleged that the individual responsible had intentionally prevented her own children from sharing the meal.
He added that the second incident happened years later in 2012, when he was about 20 years old. This time, the suspected poisoning was linked to a meal of jollof rice and turkey.
Reflecting on both experiences, DaSilva noted that the earlier episode was the more critical of the two, as it posed a greater threat to his life.
His revelation has drawn attention online, coming shortly after he called on regulatory authorities to address the circulation of fake drugs and counterfeit products in Abuja.
