Actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji has expressed appreciation to Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, for paying a visit to the set of his ongoing movie project in the state.
Adedimeji shared his gratitude in a post on Instagram, describing the Governor’s appearance on set as a gesture of solidarity that deeply encouraged the cast and crew.
According to the filmmaker, the visit significantly boosted the morale of the production team and reinforced their determination to deliver a world-class film that highlights the culture, heritage, and resilience of the Ekiti people and the broader Yoruba tribe.
He noted that the Governor’s presence and support reflect a strong commitment to the promotion of arts, culture, and history, adding that such encouragement plays a vital role in preserving indigenous stories through film.
Adedimeji also acknowledged the Governor’s consistent backing and belief in the project, describing it as an example of visionary leadership and genuine interest in Ekiti’s cultural identity.
“My wife and I, alongside the entire production crew and cast, were deeply honoured by the solidarity visit of His Excellency,” he wrote, adding that the encouragement has further strengthened their resolve to make the project a success.
The actor concluded by thanking the Governor for his kindness, humility, and continued support, while also appreciating the efforts of the cast and crew involved in the production.
The film, currently in production in Ekiti State, is expected to showcase rich Yoruba traditions and historical narratives through compelling storytelling.
