Lagos State has successfully concluded the sixth edition of the Bodex Social Media Hangout (BSMH 6.0), one of Nigeria’s leading digital media and thought-leadership events. The three-day gathering took place from Friday, November 21 to Sunday, November 23, 2025.
This year’s edition, themed “Social Media & A.I Influence: Transforming Yourself, Services & the Society,” examined the growing impact of artificial intelligence, innovation, and responsible communication on modern life and professional practice.
Convened by Bodex Hungbo, the programme was hosted across the University of Lagos and Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, drawing policymakers, academics, creatives, influencers, digital strategists, and legal experts from across Nigeria and beyond.
The event created a platform for meaningful dialogue on the fast-changing digital landscape, AI adoption, and best practices for ethical content creation.
The opening day focused on ethics, education, and youth empowerment in an era increasingly shaped by AI. Through keynote sessions, panel discussions, and interactive dialogues, speakers examined the social and professional implications of emerging technologies, digital responsibility, and innovation.
Panelists explored a range of topics, including ethical communication, building personal brands with AI-powered tools, legal considerations for online expression, and the broader societal effects of social media.
A dedicated youth session highlighted how young innovators can leverage technology with purpose, creativity, and integrity.
The event attracted notable figures such as Gbenga Omotoso, Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy representing the governor; actress Carolyna Hutchings; and leading digital creators Moji Delano and Pamilerin Adegoke. Award-winning media personality Denrele Edun hosted the event, adding flair and energy to the experience.
Across its three days, BSMH 6.0 offered engaging conversations, hands-on demonstrations, and actionable insights on how individuals, businesses, and institutions can harness technology responsibly while encouraging creativity, innovation, and accountability.
The event further reinforced Lagos’ status as a hub for digital excellence and provided a roadmap for ethical and impactful online engagement across Africa’s rapidly evolving digital space.
