The Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame (LBHF) is set to reignite the spirit of grassroots boxing as its revitalised monthly boxing series returns on October 25 at the Agege Stadium.
The event will feature 10 exciting matchups involving amateur boxers from various clubs across Lagos State, with competitors set to battle in multiple weight categories.
In the men’s 50kg division, Bolarinwa Michael of Next Page Club, Mushin, will square off against Daramola Daniel of Brightest Club, Oto Awori. Meanwhile, Quadri Oyebamiji will lock horns with Lateef Qudus in the 55kg category.
Innocent Prosper of Bariga will test his mettle against Samuel Talabi of Abule Egba in the 60kg bout, while Muftau Abdullahi takes on Adeyemi Adebayo in the 63kg class. Another 63kg showdown will see Abdullahi Robiu face Ibrahim Olayiwola.
The women’s 48kg division will witness Sofia Yakubu of Oshodi battle Nurat Sulimon of Badagry, while a special exhibition bout in the 31kg category will feature Eniola Owolabi of Ojokoro against Amira Aremu of Ajegunle.
In the heavier categories, Olamilekan Badiru of Ikorodu West will clash with Sharafadeen Fawas of Ajegunle Apapa in the 70kg division, and Hamed Adegoke of Kosofe will go head-to-head with Dolapo Ajayi of Ifako-Ijaiye in the 75kg class.
The night’s final bout promises fireworks as Segun Aboseh of Badagry takes on Michael Olomitutu of Odi-Olowo in the 86kg category.
Organisers say the event aims to discover and nurture young boxing talents across Lagos while promoting discipline, sportsmanship, and community spirit through the noble art of boxing.
