The iconic Marina waterfront on Lagos Island was transformed into a high-octane arena on Sunday, December 21, 2025, as the Lagos AutoFest successfully concluded its most ambitious edition to date. Organised by the BMW Club of Nigeria and Work and Play Promotions, the premier motorsports exhibition brought together over 100 car and bike enthusiasts, attracting thousands of spectators and solidifying Lagos’ position as a burgeoning hub for automotive culture.
Following the overwhelming success of the festival, organisers have officially announced December 20, 2026, as the date for the next edition.
From Grassroots to National Milestone
What began years ago as a small gathering has evolved into a professionally organised, nationally significant event. This year’s festival featured a “first-of-its-kind” showcase of luxury vehicles, high-performance supercars, and custom superbikes.
Adeoye Ojuoko, President of Work and Play Promotions, emphasized that the event has transcended mere entertainment to become a driver for industry growth and employment.
“The backing we’ve received from the Lagos State Government and the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) has been a game-changer. This support isn’t just symbolic—it is driving real, tangible growth. We are now seeing the local fabrication of race cars, something that was almost unimaginable a few years ago.”
