Ariana Grande also scored major victories, winning Video of the Year for “Brighter Days Ahead” and taking home Best Pop. Sabrina Carpenter’s rise to global superstardom continued as she clinched Best Album for Short n’ Sweet and added Best Visual Effects to her accolades.
In a standout moment, Rosé and Bruno Mars’s collaboration “APT.” was named Song of the Year, while Alex Warren was crowned Best New Artist.
African talent shone brightly with South Africa’s Tyla winning Best Afrobeats for “Push 2 Start,” further solidifying her status as one of the genre’s global frontrunners.
The ceremony also paid tribute to musical icons. Mariah Carey received the MTV Video Vanguard Award, Busta Rhymes was honored with the first-ever Rock the Bells Visionary Award, and Ricky Martin accepted the Latin Icon Award.
