Kun Khalifat FC have reaffirmed their determination to maintain their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) status at the end of the 2025–26 season.
The Owerri-based side made headlines last week after securing a historic victory over nine-time NPFL champions Enyimba, but the club insists they will not be complacent.
“We are not feeling comfortable anytime soon! We are not thinking we have arrived. It’s not yet UHURU,” the club posted on X.
“We pray to finish the season the same way we planned — by approaching every game like finals.
We are still in line with the promise we made to IMOLITES and our dear FANS. We will fight till the end of NPFL2026.”
Kun Khalifat have so far amassed eight points from eight matches and will look to build on their momentum when they take on Bayelsa United in a matchday nine clash at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa, on Sunday.
