Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah insists the team will secure progression in the CAF Confederation Cup despite their narrow 4-3 first-leg win over Kwara United in Accra.
Amoah netted a brace in the thrilling encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday but admitted defensive lapses allowed the visitors to stay in the tie.
“We played very well as we scored more goals but a little bit of mistake from the defence and they scored. We are not giving up, we are going there to qualify,” Amoah said in his post-match interview.
The reverse fixture is scheduled for the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta, where a draw will be enough to send the Porcupine Warriors into the second round
