Nigerian Afrobeats star Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, widely known as Kizz Daniel, has dismissed reports that his bank accounts were frozen by court order over an alleged contract breach.
The viral claim, which circulated on social media earlier this week, alleged that the Buga crooner was ordered to pay €200,000 in damages for failing to perform at a show after receiving a $50,000 advance payment. It further claimed that a court had frozen his Access Bank accounts in connection with the case.
In a statement issued on Thursday, September 25, 2025, the singer’s management categorically refuted the claims, describing them as “false, misleading, and a deliberate attempt to tarnish the artist’s reputation.”
“Kizz Daniel has no such case in court, and no accounts have been frozen. We urge fans, partners, and the general public to disregard this fabricated story,” the statement read in part.
The team further stressed that Kizz Daniel remains focused on his music and upcoming performances, while warning that legal action would be taken against those behind the fake reports.
Management also recalled a previous incident in 2022 involving the Afrobeats Meets Berlin festival, where promoters allegedly used Kizz Daniel’s name and image to sell tickets despite failing to fulfil their own obligations. The statement noted that the singer was ready to perform at the time but was let down by the organizers.
While the Afrobeats star has often been the target of unfounded rumours, his team insists that such distractions will not derail his career or his commitment to fans worldwide.
